Most portafilters are built in two parts.

This one is not.

The YU Series Unibody Portafilter (58mm) is machined as a single, integrated unit — combining the basket and portafilter into one seamless structure for a more consistent and refined workflow.

✅ Features
- Integrated Design: The original design integrates the portafilter bowl and handle, enhancing durability and preventing deformation even with frequent use.
- High-Precision Filter Holes: Arranged in concentric circles for efficient extraction with approximately 891 holes of ø0.28mm size.
- Enhanced Extraction Efficiency: Offers a larger extraction diameter compared to traditional portafilters, leading to uniform distribution and improved extraction rates.
- Wide Compatibility: Fits most commercial E61 machines and popular brands like Faema, Slayer, Synesso, and La Marzocco (excluding kb90/StradaX).

🔍 What Makes This Different from Standard Portafilters

Traditional Setup
-Separate basket + portafilter
-Possible tolerance gaps
-Basket movement or inconsistency over time
-Requires swapping baskets to experiment

Unibody Design
-Single fixed structure
-Always aligned, no shifting
-Consistent contact and flow path
-Streamlined workflow with fewer variables

💡 Why Choose This (At a Higher Price Point)

This is not about drastically changing espresso flavour.
It’s about refining the process.

You’re paying for:

Consistency → fewer variables shot-to-shot
Build quality → solid, durable, precise machining
Workflow simplicity → no basket adjustments or compatibility issues
Design & feel → a more intentional, premium setup

For users who value a clean, repeatable workflow, this becomes a noticeable upgrade.

⚠️ Before You Buy (Honest Notes)
Basket is non-removable (not compatible with IMS/VST baskets)
Not designed for frequent swapping or experimentation
Best suited for users who prefer a fixed, dialled-in setup
